  6. Secure the Connector Press the gland or locking mechanism to firmly secure the fiber. Slide the connector boot over the assembly to complete the installation .
  7. Test the Connection Use an optical power meter or visual fault locator to verify the connection. Check for low insertion loss and ensure the fiber is transmitting light correctly .
