Phase busbars distribute live current, while neutral and earth bars provide return paths and grounding . 6. Fuses and Surge Protective Devices (SPDs): Fuses provide additional protection against overcurrent, while SPDs protect equipment from voltage spikes and lightning surges . 7. Indication Lights and Monitoring Units: Visual indicators show the status of the mains supply. Advanced or smart distribution boxes may include energy monitoring units and communication modules for real-time data collection and remote control . 8. Enclosure: Made from corrosion-resistant materials such as polycarbonate, ASA, or epoxy-coated stainless steel. The enclosure protects internal components from dust, moisture, impact, and environmental stress, and is rated according to IP standards for ingress protection .
